Consolidated Foods sponsors 

Standards Debate 2005

Consolidated Foods Ltd. on Wednesday October 5, 2005 presented a cheque of $5000.00 to the St. Lucia Bureau of Standards for sponsorship of the first ever National Standards Debate. The cheque presentation took place at the offices of the SLBS.

The St. Lucia Bureau of Standards is working very closely with the Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development, Youth and Sports on the debate which is scheduled for October 12, 2005 as part of activities to mark Standards Week (October 10 -14, 2005). 

Two teams of young persons representing Castries South and Choiseul will debate on the topic "The implementation of international standards is essential for the protection and development of vulnerable states like St. Lucia". 

Other sponsor of the debate include Sandals Resorts, Going Places Travel and Hibiscus Travel.

This activity will be carried live on Radio St. Lucia from the NIC Conference Centre from 2:00pm.
