Safer Buildings for
Saint Lucia Soon
Castries, Saint Lucia, 2008-10-17 Homes and buildings on the island will become more resistant to hurricanes, earthquakes and other natural disasters. That is the aim of the soon to be revised Caribbean Uniform Building Code (CUBiC) which when completed will become mandatory throughout the region. SMC Student is SLBS Secondary Schools Oratorical Champion
Yenver Caezar, a third form student of the Saint Mary’s College (SMC) is the first Secondary Schools Oratorical Champion. He beat seven other keen contestants to achieve this distinction on Wednesday at the NIC Conference Centre when the Saint Lucia Bureau of Standards (SLBS) hosted its first ever Secondary Schools Oratorical Competition.
