In addition, from January to April 2010, she led a team of consultants that completed an assignment in the Pointe Sable area (located on the southeast coast of St. Lucia). This project involved the completion of environmental and socioeconomic studies for the OECS Protected Areas and Associated Livelihoods (OPAAL) Demonstration Site. The assignment was coordinated under the OECS Protected Areas and Associated Livelihoods (OPAAL) project by the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States Environment and Sustainable Development Unit (OECS-ESDU).
Prior to starting her Pd.D. in 2004, she worked for three years as a Biologist with the Caribbean Regional Fisheries Secretariat Mechanism (CRFM), which was formerly called the CARICOM Fisheries Unit. She was based in their St. Vincent and the Grenadines office. With this appointment, Dr. Constantine joins a team of select individuals who have made significant contributions in standardization at the SLBS most notably Dr. Alison Plummer and Dr. Darius Gabriel.
